Thumbs up

WOW... very nice job.
Did you bought your gauge face from FVD Brombacher?
I've order the same one in red for my Boxster, and I'm anxious to receive them after watching your pictures.
Good job, and nice car.

Looks nice but I'd rather not double up on the wheel spacers.

HAHAHA! Yeah,no shoes!! Wow pics came out big, and did them through tinypic.com.

No spacers on my wheels at all.

Thx for the compliments.

Motor work next.
Yes gauges from FVD. Great quality.

BTW, how did you get away with no license plate on the front bumper (NY)?? Looks nice though. Unfortunately for me, my front bumper was already screwed up because the previous owner decided to make sloppy holes along with hitting something that created creases in the paint just behind the plate. So, I just left it the way it is until I decide to get an upgrade.

Isn't the speedometer gauge on the left inaccurate for the 2.5L engine? Shouldn't it only go up to 150mph.

Great job!

I like how the center caps match the wheel lips.

it looks real good..like it much better than with the old wheels!

just curious if you plan on changing out the seats? I saw a turbo this weekend and the seats show the same wear in 20K miles...its too bad.....i like the red gauges a lot....was thinking a red roll bar might look real great too!

DJOLMAS, I did it today bfore the pics, and it took me and hour, because afterwards they kept dripping and the chrome lip was jacked, so I kept drying them, and yes the spokes are a ********************. But I've always loved this style.
SUPER66- Read my other new thread, have plans in the works for myself, and others here for re upholstering.
BLINK- yeah, thats what they had for the 2.5l from FVD. I didnt care much because I just wanted the red gauges.

Thanks for all the nice words. Check out my other thread for interior specials.

Regarding the wheels---I'm guessin' a leaf blower would speed up drying quite a bit. Then you could just give 'em a quick buff.

That car looks GORGEOUS, especially for a 9 year old machine. I gotta ask what regimen you use, detail-wise, on the finish. Don't need a ton of details, but just curious as to what products, do you use a buffer (I'm thinkin' you must, based on how good it looks), etc. Whatever you're doin', it's working.

Thanks FRODO. Actually my body guy polished the whole body after he repainted the front bumper, and it really brought the Basalt black out. It looks copper at times, and black, or dark brown..weird, but i fell in love with my car all over again. Cant wait for the interior to redone!!!

haha, yeah man, 1 hr to do the wheels, and like not even 20 for the car (since its so small).
as long as your car is waxed, a leaf blower does wonders, and no random drips once you drive off.
i use WheelWax on my wheels, give them a wash just like the car, and then leafblower. takes no more than minute per wheel...200ph moves water pretty good
give that a try.
