Beautiful! And I hope you plan to keep it original - if any of these things have a chance of being collectible some day (I suppose they already are...), it would be one of these Limited Editions.

Thanks for sharing the pics with us!

Wow, that's nice.

250 units is truly a limited edition. For 2004 I think they made something like 2,000 units that were "limited editions". That's a big percentage of the total production run :-) But 250... now that's a limited edition. I really like the interior too.

just realized you're in Austin - If you make trips to Dallas on I-35E I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a fast-approaching, orange object in my rear view mirror or I suppose I might catch a glimpse of an orange blur flying by on I-35E (I'm in Waxahachie)!? Your PCA region is Lone Star but you should go a little further north and participate in some of the driving events, autocrosses at Texas Motor Speedway or in Mineral Wells or driver's ed events, with Maverick region in the DFW area. Or just some social stuff and show off that beautiful LE.

Thanks

Thanks for the kind comments. I've been looking at Boxsters for several years, but got into that mode of "waiting to see what comes out next year".

The type 987 seemed like the right set of improvements, and when the 3.4L came along I was becoming convinced. Finally, I saw this package and was pushed over the edge. A heck of a year end deal made it even sweeter.

Now I've got to get serious about selling the 928 I've had for 12 years.

A couple of posters commented on the suede interior. It's called Alcantara, and really really does work to keep you from sliding around in the seats. Great feel on the wheel and shifter too. I highly recommend the option.

cheers,
Dennis

the best thing about this LE Boxster is that as of late, when people post pics of their new Boxster, its not Artic Silver

come on AS guys, I had to throw that in there in good fun....

serious question tho....I think I like the front bumper....would I be able to slap that bumper on the 987 below....I had a confrontation with something on the highway and my bumper has a nice rash on the bottom....plus the little screw indentation from the idiot lady driver's license plate frame.....

btw...I am suffering from face gauge envy, I love those white gauges on your car

You'd better not be a speeder. There's no talking your way out of a ticket with a car in that color!

So sweet. I'm hoping I can find one of those 2nd hand sometime in the future. That Alcantara is pretty sweet, my S4 has it.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

That color is

"Oh, yessir, I need a BIG ticket" orange.
I had a "Yell while you write" yellow 914/6

Gorgeous car!
Brumos had one just like it on their showrom when I was making the deal on mine.

Thanks!

Fortunately we've got a situation in Texas that allows a speeding ticket to be dropped in exchange for taking a driver education class. The "class" can be taken online too. But the deal applies if you only have a single ticket within a 12 month period.

Program works for me, because I tend to slow down after getting a first ticket -- for a while.

Love it. The orange and the black are awsome. I think that cool trim at the bottom of the black bumper, in the middle, would look good black. Where do you put the radar detector? I wish Porsche would put an outlet on the dash.
