Another way to fill the void is with a Garage door opener.

I basically used velcro to stick a standard garage door remote control with 9V battery behind the panel. I soldered a pair of wires connecting the opener to a factory switch. Useful and very simple to install.

I used the rear window wiper switch from a 996 since it was a momentary switch with a graphic that looks vaguely like a garage door. I considered touch up painting the graphic, but in the last 2 years I haven't got around to it.

If you buy switches, remember they come in both matte finish and glossy finish so tell your dealer which finish you desire when ordering.
