Laser etched wind deflector

I have been helping a local Dallas company Wind Restrictor come to market with custom laser etched wind deflectors for the Boxster. Mostly they needed my car for fitment test and a photo shoot. Selecting a custom image was the most difficult part and the Guinness logo came out better than I ever hoped. Guinness is my favorite! It's actually laser etched in color, not a sticker.

I am in no way affiliated with Wind Restrictor and this is not an advertisement, but I did get a freebie for my time

That is very sharp!

What I like best (besides being etched) is the fact that it is different.

Too many folks think they have to have "Porsche" or "Boxster" written over every spot of the car.

Three Thumbs up! (Yeah I was born deformed)

It looks great!!

Doesn't this company offer wind restrictores that light up?? Does the ones for the boxster offer the light up? Also can thay make them in different colors.

I think a smoked wind restrictor that lights up red with the brakes would nice.

One day I will learn to follow links before I post.

Yes this company can set up the restricter to run with the head lights, or brake lights and a few options in between.

Unfortunately at this point the Boxster will only have the multi-color etched option, not illuminated. Adding illumination requires a custom black plastic trim or serious modification to the Porsche one. For now they punted on illumination in favor or getting a product to market. I expect they will have a solution in a future second generation product. Even without illumination it's still pretty sweet

Can they etch a different color other than a clear windstop. I smoked windstop with a red PORSCHE would look nice.

Not sure. Call and ask for Stephen Pennington 972-487-5987. He can fill you in on their capabilities.

nice man, not sure bout the selection of letters/image/beer, but came out good.

there is an article somewhere how to etch things for few bux only, on glass and plastic...cant seem to find it, but it looked very easy to do, like stuff they put on lowriders windows.

Looks well done, but now you are stuck with a rediculous beer advertisement on the back of your car sports car... which makes no sense to me.

Why didn't you go with a porsche, boxster, 986 ect?

Max, it may look ridiculous to you but I selected Guinness because it's something I truly enjoy and evokes memories of fun times. This was after two weeks of introspection and talking with my closest friend to decide on something that reflected me. So no, I don't see it as just a beer ad.

But I also got a clear unetched one at the same time. Some day I may switch out for clear. And if I sell the car I'll give them the clear and keep Guinness for myself.

Timothy,

Don't take my comments to heart. I lost a very close family member and seem to be negative to the world right now. For that I am sorry.

I respect your opinion on your logo and hope I didn't offend.

Nice - cheers! I think I'll have a Black & Tan tonight now, as I sit here at work drooling on my keyboard.

Now I have to think about what I want on mine...
