i emailed them when i was looking for wheels and asked how come they charge double the shipping cost as eurotech, and they were very rude, so i said forget it, i dont want to do business with someone that tries to rip me off on shipping. o well. im happy w my wheels tho, so i dont really care. |

I woudn't mind running those wheels but I'd want to use 265/35/18 in the rear instead of 275/40/18. How have the wheels held up for you? |
I have the 275/40/18 on mine and I should have gone w/the 35's. If I hit a bump not even hard it scrapes the wheel well. Doesn't do any damage, but drive me freakin' nuts!! I'm running the 18" rims from a 05' boxster s btw. I'll post a pic tomorrow...too lazy tonight.
|
i can tell you what its hitting. mine did that as well, just needs a little bit of a grind.
its the connection between the 1/4 panel and rear bumper. 2 minute grind did the job...you can also see the little tab under it, just push it in as well sorry, cellphone pic while working in garage :) http://i7.tinypic.com/6luxavo.jpg |

NICE! I appreciate that. Might get to solving this problem today lol |

nice and simple man, they looks great on the red.
you gonna do anything about those calipers? |

sweet.
should look awesome on your car, just looks weird to see a porsche w non-painted calipers, you kinda just expect them to be seen trough the wheels all nice and shiny :) |
Your wheels look nice and the spoke style is easy to keep clean. Big plus!

Been looking to P/U a set of speedline or Rook 18" used for a while. Gary in S FLA (GoGosFLA) has a set on his 986 and they look great!
|
anyone have any recommendations on some 0" lip monoblock style (10ish spokes) rims in an 18x10et 42 rear and a similar aggressive offset and width for the fronts?
love the gt3 rs look with the satin black rims but don't necessarily want gt3 knock offs |
wow. the boxsters that are lowered with 18s for some reason just seem to have the best stance and the best proportions of sidewall height, wheel gap and the right offset makes a really big difference. i think its somewhere around 45 to 40mm in the rear. maybe 42.
now to find some monoblock 18s |
I just picked my car up today :)
It came with 18" cayman wheels, and IMO i don't know that i'd want anything else on it! http://www.lifeinwidescreen.com/6speed/boxster.jpg |

Great idea for a thread. I'll post mine later. In the meantime, when you have a 3 inch lip for example what kind of spacers/adjustments do you have to do? Those spacers are damn expensive.

18" Turbo look wheels: How do I know how wide my wheels are ? How do I know if I have the 7.5" fronts and 9' rears, or the 9" Front / 10" rears? Can I just slide a tapemeasure in there?

At the time, they made these for Porsche fitments so that spacers would not be required, but make sure if you pick up a used set, to get the correct offsets for the Boxster. Mine are: Fronts 18x8 / 5-130 / ET49 Rears 18x9.5 / 5-130 / ET43 |
