Can you hear the water pump blades hit the engine block before failure?

I have a slight clicking sound coming from the front of my engine and to me it sounds like plastic blades scraping metal. Now I'm kinda biased as my water pump is 40k miles old and slightly leaks...

I ran the test for a 3rd time - I think averaging the numbers out everything looks decent - nothing to panic over. Seem less than 20% loss is acceptable for wear according to the internets.

From when I heard a whining noise that I thought was a belt/pulley issue - about 7 miles. Which ended up being an air whistle. Then 20 feet once it smoke bombed - shutoff was immediate....

Increased oil consumption

My car has always burned oil for the 40k miles I've owned it. Usually around 1 quart per 5k miles. However around 5k miles ago this has increased to 2-3 quarts and seems I'm topping it off way too...

If you wonder about your intake after the AOS goes...

ABSOLUTELY clean it out. I found literally puddles of oil inside. It dripped all the way back into the air filter housing as well. Yucky!
