I don't care about being competitive in AutoX or on the track - I only do it for fun and don't have any interest in beating anything but my previous time. I've been occasionally AutoXing and doing...

Best suspension for street and occasional track/autocross use

Hi folks,

Good to know about the oil pressure relief valve though. I do have some ticking at idle when hot as well, though much quieter than what I'm talking about, so I'll replace that too. Thanks!

Hi all,
As the subject says, I'm suddenly getting a loud ticking - sounds like a plastic fan hitting its shroud, or maybe electrical arcing, or vaguely like lifter tap, but not really, off-throttle...

Also I noticed when I was taking it apart that the door lock mechanism says VW and has Audi's four rings on it, but no Porsche markings. Anyone know if it's the same part as on some VW or Audi?

Thanks, totally understood - will do. Sounds like this isn't one of those "Oh yeah that's really common, it's blah blah blah" so it'll require better recordings. I'll use real recording gear. Thanks.
