no crank, no start

Hey all,
I have a 2003 Boxster base (MT) with around 68,000 miles. The car has been having a no crank, no start problem. When it happens, I have full power, the gauges move and I hear the fuel pump....

I had the same problem. I put a piece of medical tape over the hole and the sound vanished. No CEL, no issues whatsoever. Been driving for 2+ years that way.

03 base model. Bought it a couple of years ago with 55,000 miles on it. Water pump failed at around 58,000 miles. Car has about 61,000 miles now. Running great.

Mine failed at around 58K. The impellers looked great and the pulley spun freely. It just started leaking heavily after a drive one day. No visible damage.

No, I hadn't removed the reservoir cap prior to the leak starting. It started leaking just after shutting off the engine after a 10-15 minute casual (non-spirited) drive.

Quick update: I pulled up the carpet in the trunk and see no evidence of coolant on top of or underneath the foam. On to the bleeder valve o-rings I guess.
