Miata > Boxster > Miata > Boxster(?)

I've owned a 96 Miata for 16 years. Love it; just wish it had a bit more power.

Test drove an 03 base 5MT Boxster a few years ago and decided I had to have one. Ended up buying an 04 6MT S. I...

So if Porsche didn't exist, my choices of a car that I "can" have, would be something in the same price range of a used 986, that is, a car worth up to $25k. I paid almost $23k for mine. I can't have...

For the projector shown, the reflector would have to be cut, and the projector bolted or JB welded or both to the reflector.

By "adjustments" I assume you mean aiming the light. The adjustment...

I'm trying to understand if all 986 litronics use a halogen bulb for the high beam. It seams that way if 997 lights are "all xenons". Would you also describe that as bi-xenon?

wow!! I thought Litronics was a bixenon system like in the illustration. I wonder if JFP is talking about post 04 boxsters when he says "later cars".

is Litronics bi-xenon or low beam only?

I'm looking on ebay for Litronics. I found a new pair that explains it as having a halogen high beam. I thought they were bi-xenon, ie, the projector handles both low and high beam. Did Litronics...

I should add that the reflector in my 04 is about 5.5" tall. The projector that I'll looking at is 100mm (~4") tall. Sounds doable unless I'm missing something.

will this bi-xenon projector fit?

This will not be an easy plug-n-play (pnp). I will have to cut/modify the reflector to fit this larger projector, then hide it with a shroud.

I'm going this route instead of a smaller pnp...

high beams

Just curious how the high beams work. BI-xenon makes it sound like it has the low and high beam, but you would either need two bulbs per lamp housing (your info only indicates one bulb per housing)...

I think 'insite' would say that your braking will suck at -2.3. What have you noticed with your braking with street tires at -2.3 camber?
