Front Boot doesnt pop

Im having an issue where my front boot doesnt want to pop up when I press the button. It unlatches but I have to jam min fingers between the lid and the headlight to get it to open up. Any ideas on...

Is there a trick to it? I just burned a cd-r with mp3s using itunes and it wouldnt play....
The 220 showed it playing...i.e. the time was ticking down or up one....but no sound and I couldnt get it...

Hmmm.... It looks like I have all those parts. I removed the spring and replaced it.
Seems to go in ok but the door still closes on its on....albeit faster with the spring on than with the spring...

Yes but I'm sure its not suppose to work that way....plus that requires two hands and I am short on fingers on one hand. I also don't like the metal lid rubbing up against the gas handle....
