brand new boxster 2.7 engine

This is a brand new Boxster 2.7 engine. Never run. Have paper from Porsche. Part# 986.100.922.02 Two local dealers confirmed that this is a brand new engine not a rebuild one. $6500. I am in DC area....

How do you jack and secure the Boxster when you need to work underneath? Can I back the car onto a ramp? Most ramps are too high for Boxster though.

I am sure there is a big difference of the cost between replacing an original 2.5 or upgrade to a 3.4. I called the dealer and they want $9800 for a new 2.5. I assume $6500 is reasonable for a NEW...
