Houston Boxster Club?
Anyone know of a Houston, Texas based Boxster club?
If none exists, how would I go about starting one?

OK! This message has been read 36 times thus far, so there's got to be some interest in a Boxster club for the greater Houston area.
Post something here if you'd like to know more about what I'd like to start up!

Well, Haven't heard of any boxster club per se but there is the lsrpca.com which is the Porsche club in town. I've attended just a few of their events. Majority of them are nice folks. Check 'em out.

Botox, I mean Boxtex, I think we should just decide on a place to meet and have an innagural meeting of our own Boxster club!
I recommend we find a good central location with ample parking. I'm up for suggestions.
Rudyards (an English-style pub) in Montrose is a possibility. They have a sizeable parking lot across the street, outdoor seating (to keep an eye on our cars), but the parking lot is not in the best shape (potholes here and there). If we met at a place like this, we could all sit outside with a beer and visit.
I think we should do it on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon this month. At the meeting, we can easily plan a driving excursion to Brenham/Bellville area where I know of some nice twisty roads.

Sounds good, hoping more people would be available this time to meet for nice ride. The pub sounds good.
keep present the auto show is Jan 28 till feb 5th, some people might rather go to that show instead, that will get on the way; LSR club has drivers ed on jan 15th.

We need to schedule an innaugural meeting soon. I think sometime in January would be good, after the holidays. Potential dates and places, anyone? I'm free most anytime in January except for the 12th or the 13th (a buddy is getting married that weekend).

How about Jan 20th ?
With as many folks from the Houston area we should, heck the state is small enough for all of the Texas group to meet up!
-: Houston P-cars: Was this weekend nice or what, Took a spirited ride up to Montgomery / Lake Conroe - Top Down and Stereo up and it was nice.

January 20th it is! Travis, I would like to recommend that we all meet up near the intersection of Hwy 6 and 290, then drive out to Brenham (45 minutes from there) and drive around some twisty roads I have heard about.
It would be best to get a very early start to avoid the farmers and bicyclists... say meeting there at 7 am or something.
Or, did you just have a desire to meet at a bar somewhere and check out each other's cars and have a beer? We could do that in town most anywhere...
Thoughts?
