Hello, after reading this post I decided to order and install the 3 input aux connector (
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1010) from discount car audio. I installed the cable and I get audio thru the 3.5 mm jack or the RCA's, but I do not get audio thru the ipod connector. I'm wondering if I did something wrong?
I have a 2001 Boxster with a CR-220 radio with a CD-changer. AUX was and still is enabled. I called the manufacture PIE and they told me that this connecter does not allow audio thru the ipod connector for the IPHONE because it lacks the requisite resistors. The ipod connector does charge the iphone, just doesn't play audio thru it.
Any information you can pass along will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
