O2 sensor cel

Hi
I am running and have for the past 3 years 200cell cats.
I have replaced the rear o2 sensors and fitted a combination of straight and 90degree spacers.
I still get on occasions a cel for poor cat efficiency on bank 2. Wandering if that cat has deteriorated?
Anyway, if I unscrew the sensor and tie it up with steel ties and then plug the sensor hole will this stop the cels or will it cause other cels and or poor running?
Thank you

No, doing that will actually cause more CEL's; if you have a cat efficiency code, you need different cats........
