Grafting a Cayman roof on to a Boxster?

Hey guys, trying to find any info on grafting a Cayman root onto a Boxster body. Not looking for the fiberglass set up but a real steel Cayman roof from windshield to rear quarters. Has this been done that anyone knows of? I know its not the normal mod but I picked up a nice clean 03 w/salvaged title cheap and love the look of the Caymans. I have the equipment and skill to build one from scratch but when I called a local wrecker they said $1k for the roof section cut through the wind screen and below the rear quarter glass. With the time involved this seams to me to be the best way to start the conversion but I know Caymans started in 06 and I'm not sure of any body dimension changes between the 03 and 06 tubs. I know door glass will swap with the 06 but I'm also thinking of making it more of a challenge and go with a 2016 or later roof, quarters and ether skin the door shells if the newer doors wont fit.

Thank you for any info you might have to share.

Kevin

SO here are some pics I had on my phone of a few past projects I have built. These all started off as my own design and then I started with 19ga AKDQ 4'x10'flat sheets. So I have the ability and I'm not just a keyboard fabricator. The half size Roadster Pick-Up is 1 I built for my now 17yr old son back when he was 3 or 4 years old. It is 24V electric with forward, reverse, headlights and brake lights and he would drive it around the car shows.
Thanks for any assistance or info on tub differences and what not. D

Does anyone know if a second or 3rd gen door will physically fit on a 1st gen Boxster?
