boxster engine rebuild

Hello, I have a 2004 Boxster S that needs an engine rebuild. the IMS started to go but did not blow the engine. Im located on the east coast and looking for someone who can do it at a reasonable price.

Please share the warning signs that caused you to believe your IMS was "starting to go out". Please share a list of the sounds it made, the performance issues driving, and what the IMS looked like when you opened it up.
