sirbag light

Hi, will a faulty seat belt retractor trigger airbag light? I've got one I can not get to reset, so I assume the fault is still there. No codes are being thrown. 2002 Boxster base, (Silver), a nod to Click and Clack. Cheers, Jerry

Yes, and there is a code, you just are unable to see it without the proper diagnostic system.......................
