perhaps we need 6-1 headers?

Thanks

no problem ...
this link has some good sounds. part way through you get to listen to two lancias; one with 6-1 and one with 6-2 - the difference is very distinct: https://youtu.be/DRI9CLF53Vw i figure you could take a set of chinese equal-length headers (fabspeed knockoffs) and cut at the collector. then extend them to back by the transaxle where you incorporate one of these: |
Amazing how the sound can be so different depending on the exhaust.
YouTuber Stapleton42 has been chasing sound on his LS swapped Monte Carlo by trying different header types and collectors. Part of his research was to investigate Morgan-McClure's 95 winning Daytona car. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4EtSA1TocZg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Boom Tubes wouldn't work on our cars, but if I have some money left over in my 928 project, I'd consider trying a pair for it. Think it would sound bad-ass. |
perhaps extend the headers to the back (long tube) to a collector on each side then into an x-pipe and boom tubes out the back? which might look a bit like one of these:
