Changing my water pump, what else?

Hi,

I have a 2001 Boxster S with 57k miles, and my gut tells me it's time to change the water pump and thermostat, and have a couple of questions.

I'm going to change the thermostat and serpentine belt while I'm at it, and I'm wondering if it would be smart to change the rear hoses while I'm under the car. The car is 21 years old now, and I'm wondering what the useful life of the hoses really are.

I've read a lot about coolant tank failures, same concern. What do you think?

Appreciate your responses, thanks!

Replace the motor mount as well while you are in there

I had the motor mount done along with the coolant expansion tank when I had my water pump replaced.

Air oil separator
Serpentine belt
Engine and transmission mounts
Hoses and clamps
Coolant expansion tank - This is a wear and tear item and should coincide with your water pump and thermostat service
Radiators (if damaged)

Check the motor mount for sure.
I also did the fuel filter while I was up there on my 01 it is in the transmission tunnel above the coolant hoses, easy to reach while you have them out.
