Smile Litronic Help!

Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 Boxster with the litronic headlamps, and they dont seem to match. One headlight is a little more blue, the other a little more white. This probably happened because the body shop replaced the drivers side headlamp when the front of the car was hit.

My question -- Are there bulbs I could buy to replace the current bulbs? I'd really rather have a little more of a blue tint. Since they are litronic - I dont want to just stick any bulbs in there... let me know if theres anything I need to know or if you know of some good blue tinted bulbs out there for these headlamps!

Thanks!

- greg

If they used the OEM factory bulb, then you should be ok after a few hours of use because the new bulb will look whiter in the beginning, and then turn more bluish as the bulb ages.

Yeah, what he said!

Moreover, you don't want to replace these xenon bulbs until they burn out due to cost... they're in the $200-300 dollar range—each!

ahhh, ok got it. thanks guys.

I guess that makes sense. One headlight is new, the other I dont know how old it is, and the older one gives off much more of a blue tint. Just really bugs me that they dont match!! :ah:
