Top

Just took my 986 top off and there are no tension cable springs. Thoughts on what to do? Can't find part. Alternatives? Thanks!

Tension Cable "Springs"... You've got me stumped with that terminology. Can you post a picture of what you don't have so we understand what you are referring to?

Those things aren't inexpensive.

Expensive *New*. I bet most people who are parting out a 986 have one or two ready to go in the trash.

There are choices for new cables at Pelican, but clearly the "German" brand is inferior to the "Porsche". Look how straight and refined the Porsche one is compared to the German (already bent from the factory). Also note that at $25.50 ea, you'd have to buy Four to qualify for Free shipping! Buy just One Porsche brand part and shipping is Free!
