No power. nothing.

Hello,

My 2003 Boxster S has been sitting for a couple months and when I went to start it, unsurprisingly it didn't. Of course the battery was dead, however, when I put a good battery in it, it still has no power. It's not just that it doesn't start, it has no power to anything.

I've checked the cables and grounds and they seem fine.

I tried connecting a battery to the jumper in the fuse panel and it also doesn't do anything. No power at all.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hello Spaf, the positive cable from the battery attaches into a 'power rod' next/behind the battery (sorry it was several years ago..) this rod goes through to the firewall to the rear end of a 'power distribution box', located behind the globe box.
On my car, the power cable was connected to the 'power rod' by friction (only..!), detach it and clean it with a tooth brush using baking soda and water paste. Therefore re-assemble with dielectric grease.
Good luck!

Thanks!
