Coil packs and more!

I got a 2002 S with a bad engine. Put a new one in which didn't seem to run on all cylinders. Pulled back out to check cam timing, which was indeed off slightly in Bank 2.
But before reinstalling (this is the third time, long story we'll skip) I thought to check the coil packs. [B]Every one[B]has minute cracks. I don't have history on this engine, so it seems the best course is all new ones. Am I wrong?

If they are cracked, get rid of them.

Some of us functioning on minimal budgets seal the cracks with JB weld or equivalent and continue to use the coils with no apparent problems.

I just went ahead and placed the order.
This has been quite a process, and I just want this thing to be trouble-free as long as possible.
Thanks, guys.
