3.2L 6speed ('01) to base '98

I have a really nice '98 base that is my DD. Originally bought it just for the engine and trans for my SPB, but after repairing it, decided to drive it ('98 project car). Well, I now want the engine and trans so I bought a crashed '01 S. I would like to transfer both the engine and 6 speed trans to the '98 base. I think I have a handle on the engine swap, but am wondering about the trans swap. After reading a bit, it seems that I need (stolen from another thread)

"1. Both carriers, bearings, hubs, rotors and calipers. (same brake pads)
2. Both transmission mounts
3. Both axles and axle bolts
4. Clutch disc and pressure plate.
5. Shift cable set.
6. A transmission"

Is that it? I have all of those parts from the crashed '01. Is there anything that I'm missing?

Thanks,

Tim

Sounds about right. The six speed has a different heat shield protecting the shifter ends.

Has anyone transplanted the engine wiring harness, ECU, Alarm, keys, Egas, dash pod, etc from the 3.2 to the 2.5? I can pull the wiring diagrams but before I dig into it, thought I would ask. Might not be worth the trouble, or could be easy? Anyone know?

How well do you know John Gladwill? He took his 1997 spb boxster and put a 3.4 with 3.2 heads and a cayman intake in his. He'll be at ECR next weekend

Yes, I know and have raced with John. He is always extremely helpful, I'll reach out to him. Bummed that he walked away from SPB.
