986 no start

Hi All

Currently my 2.7 Boxster will not start. The car ran out of petrol and also stood for a couple of months so what petrol was left completely evaporated. I did try starting the car forgetting it had no fuel in it and I must have cooked the petrol pump as it was not working when I took it out. I have put new pump in but the car will not start, it cranks over fine, the fuel pump fuse is good and the relay is a new porsche one I have just installed and yes there is now plenty of fuel in the tank. I have checked for codes with icarsoft por v2 and have none. I am thinking maybe I do not have enough fuel pressure but I have cranked the car a few times now so I must have built up the correct pressure. Can anyone think of any other reason the car cranks but will not start. Cheers Neil.

I would do a fuel pressure test at the fuel rail to make sure I had fuel pressure at the injectors.

Nominal fuel pressure engine off 3.8 plus or minus 0.2 bar.
Engine idling 3.3 plus or minus 0.2 bar
