SAI on ROW?

Can anyone explain why I have a working SAI-pump on my ROW 986s 03 ????

Drives me crazy!

Everyone tells me that ROW cars don't have it, but there it is... According to my win I have a ROW (German import)

On friday Iīm meeting up with a guy with Durametric pro to disable the rear spoiler, I wonder if anything could be done about the SAI-pump while we have the Durametric hooked up?

Check your emissions plate. It will tell you if it is ROW or 50 state legal etc.

Checked, there is no emissions plate. Isnīt that supposed to be inside under the trunk?

The plot thickens..

Robert, I believe that it is a sticker on the engine cover

My Emission (VEC) sticker is indeed on the underside of the trunk. It has the vacuum hose routing and a small box in the middle bottom row that specifies emissions met. Of course if it isn't there that is a problem.

Just out of curiosity, why would you disable the spoiler?

Also in my 2001 Boxster I have the emissions sticker with vacuum diagram inside the rear boot lid.
My car is USA model (with SAI) that has been later brough back to Finland.

I put on a fixed spoiler, then removed the original to reduce weight.

I just got informed by a Porsche tech that the 986 got SAI for all markets during 2001-2002. Maybe that was also the cade for 2003?

I wonder if the sticker only is a US market thing..
