And why does this guy think that his $5,000 20 year old boxster is impressing anyone?

Ha, thank you for the good laugh! :p

UPDATE: Moved Coil 4 to 3 position. Cleared Codes.

Same Problem.

New Codes:
0300
0306
0304

I'm assuming this is not plug or coil related? I did a light inspection on the coil wires leading up and they look okay.

I find it hard to believe coils 4 and 6 are out at the same time.

??? Umm.... Suggestions ???

Hear me out... This link from a similar situation... https://www.renntech.org/topic/32676-p1316-p1317-p1318-p1319/ Leads me to believe something is loose. Basially when I got on and off the highway, fueled and got back on, something came loose. Hopefully, something like loose air intake tube on the throttle body... vs a camshaft position sensor.

Short of getting involved deeper in this thread, I have two good options to present you:
  1. Take (tow) your car to a competent independent Porsche mechanic; Pay a pro to diagnose and repair it. The way you present yourself, it sounds like you could easily make things worse if you keep poking at it.
  2. Have it towed to a spot where the hot chicks hang out and wait for them to come to you. Why waste money on gas and repairs?

That's all I've got. :chicken:

Do you have a better suggestion?

Umm... apparently you are not a competent Porsche mechanic, but thank you for the advice. The car IS WHERE HOT CHICKS hang out. It's 300 feet to the sand and a mile to Trump's pad. I can stand next to it broken and I still get picked up... at least 3 times a day. I don't think that will help fix it...

Do you have a better suggestion?

Seriously, I need to drive it up the coast a few miles with this really hot blonde, that is waiting for my call. I have to bend her over each light and make her hold the fender and the hood... and do what she does best. That's what I need this car for and Ideally this evening. Please assist if you know... something helpful.:)

Wear protection? That's all I got for you.

Well said and thank you for the spoon feeding.

And yes, I was fairly buzzed and simply didn't think about swapping the coil or to the other side. Quite honestly, I get distracted with the women trying to pick me up in the driveway.

Okay, got done with morning workout and going to swap #4 to #3 and update. Thank you and thanks to everybody for thinking.

At the moment, there's a blonde with enormous F's patrolling the edge of the driveway with a little dog... waiting. I do know there's a lot of distractions here.

Allright. Now I'm laughing my azz off. 986EVE is pure gold. We need him, OMG.

I appreciate that.

Thankfully my other girl has a RS2.

Else I'd care...

Nice to know where to find douches though.
