I went ahead and bought that cable I linked in my first post. It came in two days after ordering it and I got it installed with NO trouble what so ever. I know nothing when it comes to car stereos but this cable was super easy to install. I haven't wired it for power just yet, but it works great with my iPod. The sound is fantastic, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
I also went to
www.proclipusa.com and bought a mount/holder combo for my iPod. It looks real slick in my Boxster. Total cost for cable and holder/mount was about $90. Quite reasonable, if you ask me, for getting to listen to my iPod through my Bose speakers.
