These parts are generally sealed with o-rings. Replacing them might be fiddley but it’s cheap.

it's certainly worth a shot. I don't recall seeing an o-ring there, it seemed like it was just a press-in seal. I don't think that could be taken apart without breaking it, or do you mean something else?
