Leaking Power Steering
 

I've got a leak; it's not super fast (not like squirting) but it's enough to make a mess of the garage and warrant a refill now and again.
It looks like the leak is coming from the bottom reservoir piece, but it looks like it's right at the joint to the return line. Do y'all think I need to replace the line, or the bottom piece?http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1580423483.jpg

These parts are generally sealed with o-rings. Replacing them might be fiddley but it’s cheap.

it's certainly worth a shot. I don't recall seeing an o-ring there, it seemed like it was just a press-in seal. I don't think that could be taken apart without breaking it, or do you mean something else?

I'm not exactly sure, but I think that the pipe releases in a way similar to the brake booster line, ie. you push in a ring to release it. Don't take my word for it though, my memory is a bit foggy!

No, you're right. I though that maybe there was some crud in there, so I pushed the ring to release it. Nothing looked off in there, so I stuck it back in. It's a bit of an awkward spot to work on, though, so I may just not be doing things right.

I've considered taking the parts from my '97 and swapping them to see if it fixes it.
I want to make the '97 power steering electric anyways, but haven't figured out where to start quite yet. I know I could always do a temp-swap, but jeez I hate taking the crossover out to get in there.
