I have never pulled them on a Porsche Boxster.
But reading the Bentley manual description of removal it doesn't look difficult.
They do come out as a unit (fuel rail and injectors as one).

It’s not difficult or technical. I did this as a first project with my 98. Followed Dempsey’s instructions by the book. Pretty rewarding because you really have to get up into it. There were a few scraped knuckles before I was done.
