Can you fins a place that has a pronounced slope to it so the rear on the ramps really gets up in the air? I used to do oil changes that way. The car was level but the slope really elevated the rear so the pump would be somewhat elevated too.

Hmm, that's an excellent idea. The driveway into the garage is short but sloped and would definitely raise the rear of the car. There will also be more natural light and it will be easier to work on than inside the garage on ramps. I probably won't be too popular with the new HOA but if I'm quick enough they might not notice.
