Yup. Dremel it off (measure twice, cut once) and feather the end. You should be good to go!

Thin cutoff wheel, when you buy the bolts make sure to get the same grade as the stock bolts & buy a couple nuts to fit the bolts. Thread a nut onto the bolt before you shorten the bolt, & then removing the nut restores the threads as you remove it.

You can’t cut them unfortunately the shoulder is too long. I found some replacement 8.8s at Home Depot.
