Thank you for Pointing out the issues, currently I don't have Boxster but I used to had a 2000 Boxster till 2004. To be honest I have no clue on how to contact the right person about Sponsorship :confused: , who do you suggest ??? I believed in Fair Business practice, regardless if my approach are found to be offended by some members I've Apologized. I'm not here in this forum to :matchup: or to upset anyone. Thanks again !

Thanks to everyone for helping me watch my back on this test. Fortunately, the money would have been paid by a credit card payment and then through Paypal, giving me two lines of recourse. I am, of course, pleased to read Che's not going to charge anything to get the tests done. I'm good for it without the financial obligation.

Now I have not seen these parts and I will surely compare them to my factory parts to insure they are a direct fit with no mods needed or Che will get them back and this deal will be off...we talked about this on the phone. The headers look straightforward, but the only pixs I have for the muffler is what he's selling on Ebay for the 2.7 and the top brackets appear to be in the wrong place... but he's assured me he has a muffler that will fit my car or the deal is off, we'll see.

I am in South Africa right now for work and won't be able to get a lot of internet time because I have a lousy connection where I'm staying. So everyone enjoy the holiday away from my numerous posts :cheers:

Normally I just like to lurk. I have picked up a LOT of useful info and learned tons of stuff about my Boxster since I joined this board. I am extermely grateful that there is a board like this with (for the most part) such nice informative people on it. But after reading this thread I gotta say......

I hope that the members that are letting all these accusations/inuendo fly are man enough to apologize if Randall gets a nice system out of this. If not then I'll be eating crow but after reading the posts and checking this guys ebay score I HIGHLY doubt he is gonna come on a Boxter board and install substandard equipment just so he can trash his name on one of the most influential boards for Boxter owners. Do any of you know what the "rule of 250" is? How many of us do you think are PCA members?

This looks like a win-win between Randall and Che to me so why don't you all lighten up a little and see what happens.

Think about the world we live in – phishing, lots of cons. All cons, and most phishing is based off of the same principle: they rely on getting the victim’s participation and buy in by making them think they are getting something for nothing (or are getting a deal that is slanted in their favor). This victim becomes emotionally involved and therefore doesn’t look at the deal objectively.

“I deposit $2million in your bank account if you just give me the number.”
“I will give you a free exhaust if you give me $1,000 that I promise to give back to you”

No we do not owe Che an apology. If Che’s exhaust turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread, believe me, we will hear about it and he will be a celebrity on this board. Regardless though, it will be important for Che to learn about how he is marketing his product and representing his business.

If you are truly on the up and up, your business deals should also appear beyond reproach.

If this exhaust deal works well, and Che learns to improve his marketing approach, both guys win. No apology necessary.

Yeah, I've been grouchy all week and kinda took it out on der Geist. I felt bad after posting that. I apologize der Geist. Sometimes I let little things get to me.

yeah, the sponsors are always coming on here offering free parts and the chance to evaluate them. Sometimes it is so much that it gets ridicoulous. I literally have five exhaust sitting in my garage and no car to install them on. We don't even need to mention all the loaner short shifters, intakes, and suspension peices.


Che needs to do it right just like all the other sponsors...Keep his stuff to him self , make us search for our own sound bites and evaluation data, and every once in a while have a $5 off coupon for a $985 exhaust. That's how you do it.

How do we know that? I think it is perfectly reasonable to expect that with someone's first post, they purchase some controversial equipment and jump right into the middle of a debate about questionable business practices. I see no evidence of any relationship between Che and Daam421.

You must be joking. Did you fail to notice that this guy came in with verifiable references? You are not even giving him a chance to prove himself before you are convicting him of being a scam artist. With all due respect your profile says you are an auditor and I really don't think you are qualified to be critisizing anyone in the marketing approach of a small business. The first thing the SBA teaches you is big DOES NOT = small. This is ridiculous.

Dr. Kill is merely stating the fact that we do not live in a perfect world and I tend to agree with him. The mention about $1000 is inaccurate because the exhaust is no longer required a deposit (thanks for Jeffsquire).

And no, I do not doubt Che's credentials, only that I do not agree with Che's approach. It is not related with how big or small business(es) he has, or what degree he has, it is more related to fair business practice.

I don't see any reason for an apology either, because his approach is "questionable" (see my previous posts) in the first place and we have the right to give him a piece of our mind. If our opinion sounded mean, then so be it. He is an adult and can take our opinions just fine.

I don't thinkyou should let Che be a sponsor for the following reasons:

1. He gives a member expensive headers and a muffler in exchange for information.

2. He may provide an alternative to the $800 to $1500+ Boxster sports exhaust. I don't know about the rest of you but I just wouldn't feel right unless I shelled out loads of dough for a muffler.

3. Magnaflow, Supersprint, B & B, Dansk and other exhaust manufactuers are bordering on bankrupcy and really need the money. God knows how small thier markup is.

4. Out of the 5,000 plus people who have left eBay feeback for Che in the last 12 months 40 er... I mean 16 have left neg feedback. I think it must be a rule that anyone who wants to sell us something should have 100% pos feedback and at least 6,000 sales. Nothing less than absolute perfection will do for this board!

5. This is very likely to be an elaborate phishing ploy executed by Islamic extremists and backed by the Russian mob designed to get our credit card numbers so that they can use them to buy weapons of mass destruction to be used against us at a later date.

6. At the very minimum there will more than likely be a piece of spyware in his banner ad designed to hijack our email address so that he can bombard us with massive amounts of spam promoting Japanese autos. How long will it be before we finally submit? The ad will undoubtably contain a subliminal message to make us crave souped up and megaphoned Hondas and Subarus. This ad will ultimately make us trade our Boxsters in for Fast & the Furious style rides. We will also develop uncontrolable urges to drift every time we turn a corner. (of course I am sure Che is putting this scheme together as I am posting this so that he can supply us all with the megaphone exhausts and the bling bling).

I don't post to this thread for a week (because I said all I had to say and the Lister contacted Rich about sponsorship) and you decide to take a swing at me from left field, not in reply to any specific post by me, not adding anything constructive, but just to Showboat and Grandstand.

I have no sense of humor..?? I guess not. That dish it and can't take it disclaimer wears a little thin and doesn't insulate you from a response.
