Boxster plastic rear window split

So I have a 1999 porsche boxster base (2.5l) and when I went to put the top down it tore on the left and right side. The left has a huge hole towards the middle about the size of a plate. And the right separated from the fabric all along the seam. I am looking into getting the glass rear window conversion but I need something more immediate since its gonna snow in 2 days. My garage is also full so any ideas would be appreciated.

The top has to go anyway. Duct tape or some other is about your only remedy. Or, figure out a way to get a cover for the car. A tarp would work in a pinch.

Go to your local auto parts store, Walmart, or similar and buy a car cover. Any car cover that will fit (even if its not for a Boxster) will work until you can get it repaired/replaced.

Or go to a hardware store (Harbor Freight) and buy a tarp and tie it over the car with some rope.

Or buy 6 packages of plastic wrap from the grocery store and .... no, don't do that, I'm just kidding now.

Before I replaced mine, I just put packaging tape over the cracks from both sides. Never had a problem with water getting in, even in heavy rain.
