This thread is hilarious!
Maybe this is a good time to bring up some other mods I am planning:
1) Replace airbag receptacles with handy storage area for my knives
2) Dashboard mounted hibachi for those long road trips
3) Fill up gas tank with alcohol for maximum performance like those top fuel guys

dude bro engine oil is so like 1989. Don't worry if it gets
dirty with a silly paper filter. I know guy Emilio who hasn't changed
his oil or air filter in 20,000 miles and the car is louder than an STI on
exhaust roids. I can hear my bro coming down my way like five
minutes away. **************** is bad ass, speed? Pfffttt who cares?!
p.s.
who is ron popeil?

I’m thinking about adding a hardtop, pressurizing the cabin and running pure oxygen to keep me alert when I drive, I also need to fix the cigarette lifter so I can get my cigar lit.
What do ya think??

Actually, it's probably because Perfectlap gets out that he doesn't know who Ron is.
That was indeed a great Ron Popeil reference.

NO NO NO!! Keep the snorkel out! It won't hurt anything. Very few will disagree, but the snorkel is there only to keep the noise levels down. Some people believe it is there to keep out water, cigarettes, etc...but the snorkel is cupped on the end and if you think about it with actually HOLD water.
I've been de-snorkeled for 2 years now, daily driver, 12,000 miles per year, in Chicago. So I have been through all types of weather. Nothing has ever given me problems. Not rain, snow,or sun .
So keep the snorkel out, replace the stock filter, and be done with it!
