Radio Issue

I just had the original radio replaced with new GPS/Radio/Bluetooth etc. Every time I turn the car off the radio system resets all settings and they go back to the original factory configurations and it goes back to demo mode.

Is this somehow connected to the security system and unusual battery issues with Porsche?

No. Sounds like the switched power and constant power memory wire are reversed.

What did you use for an adapter harness? I'm no stereo expert but I'm wondering if the radio has no power when the car is turned off.

This is a very common problem. Yes, your constant power and switched power are reversed. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong, they are just reversed from what the schematic says. Use a voltmeter to check if you want or save some time and just swap the two wires and be done with it.

Been there done it!

The harness I had mapped the wires properly so that the radio had constant power.
