heaqdlights cause radio static

If I have the radio on with only the driving lights the reception is great. As soon as I go to the headlight position, either low or high my radio goes to static. Any idea of where the ground points of these devices are. I run LED low beams and Halogen highs. So it's not specific to my headlight type.

Any one else have this problem?

It's your LED lights, seen it several times.

With the high beams on, both the low beam and high beam bulbs are used, so anytime the headlights are on, the low beams are on.
Disconnect the LED bulbs and see if the problem goes away.

I'm having the same problem, is there a cure other than changing lights?

Thanks, Dave

Don't drive at night... or take up yodelling.

Sorry, you're going to have to ditch those LED bulbs, my friend. I found the same thing a couple of years ago when I tried experimenting with LED's on my Boxster.

Ferrite coils or clips can often help.
