Error code toothed belt out of position

Hi,

I just sent in my car engine for an overhaul.

Days after getting the car back, the engine has a flapping/fluttering sound. It progressively gets louder. I had it towed back to the mechanic, but not before another mechanic did see diagnostics.

The results show: toothed belt out of position. I noticed the fuel consumption is also very poor.

Does anyone recognize what this could be?

I posted a thread on this just now but i couldn't find it. If I'm placing this on the wrong subforum pls inform me.
