Window - Auto Down works, Auto UP?

2004 Box SE: My windows Auto Down. But are they supposed to Auto Up as well?

They are not going auto up.

Sounds like a window regulator in my near future.

Try resetting the up position: ignition on, raise window and hold button for 10+seconds. Try again...

You can do this on the key too. Hold down the un/lock button for open or closed.

Wow, I never knew the hold button trick. I'll give that a try at lunch time to see if that works.

Thanks so much!! navair

The window regulator does not control the one push operation of the windows. It is strictly mechanical. Typically these get replaced then the cables stretch and the window stops dropping when the outside door handle is raised. A bicycle cable adjuster can be added to take out the slack so they drop. I have had to do both of my regulators with cable adjusters but they are stretching again so I'm going to treat myself to new regulators soon.
