2017 Porsche 718 Cayman Follows the 718 Boxster's Turbo Future
Porsche made a surprising announcement last year concerning the next-generation Boxster and Cayman. Both models would drop their flat-six engines and use turbocharged four-cylinders. Was Porsche losing their minds? Apparently not as the 718 Boxster has earned raves with its turbo-four engines.

Now it's the Cayman's turn to drop the flat-six and go to the turbo-four. Today at the Bejing Auto Show, Porsche has unveiled the 2017 718 Cayman lineup.
  • Like the 718 Boxster, the 718 Cayman boasts two turbocharged four-cylinders.
  • 718 Cayman: Turbocharged 2.0L Flat-Four - 300 horsepower, 280 pound-feet of torque
  • 718 Cayman S: Turbocharged 2.5L Flat-Four - 350 horsepower, 309 pound-feet of torque
