I'm pretty sure that exhaust is an option on diesel Porsches. The package includes airhorns.

While the original photo is an April Fools joke, there are a lot of real ones out there! This approach is fairly common at sound restricted race tracks like Laguna Seca. Do a search on "Laguna exhaust" and you'll find many more examples...
