Soft Top Pressed Mark

Dear all,

My 986 the soft top have four pressed mark in the middle area of the top when I took out the hard top. I check with factory they said under the soft top cover have four plastic press to hold the soft top when it down. Because the top down too long time about three month so it will have press mark there. Who know I can use which way fix those mark? Thankyou all.

B.regards,
Marshall

You may be able to get the marks out by washing the top and brushing it with a soft-bristle brush. A good application of a convertible top cleaner, followed by a preservative (Raggtopp, for example, if available in your area), would probably also be a good idea if the top has been down for quite a while.

Soft Top Pressed Mark

I think you will find that they all do that. Just something you will have to live with.

Thanks Ronzi, I will order the Raggtopp from internet to fix my roof problem, because in Hong Kong cannot buy this cleaner and protecter.

Marshall,
Raggtopp cleaner and protectant are good products for the cleaning and maintenance of your top. They probably won't have much effect on the round spots caused by the rubber bump stops.

No, just the soft brush, or maybe a lint roller, like for removing hair and lint from clothing. You just need something that will pull up the fibers of the canvas a little bit. The trouble is, the next time you lower the top, the spots will be back again.
