OHH!! That's a quality idea. Is that just a usual normally open relay?

Thanks for the diagram, will 100% make this.

My only concern now is that I've sprayed my reflector matt black, so I'll just have to find out how bright the bulbs are for flashing.

It's a standard 5 pin changeover relay, not a 4 pin.

That black reflector could be a problem. On installs with black reflectors, I have used LED bulbs with a lot of forward output as a compromise. They are definitely brighter than halogen in a black reflector.

Something like this with an LED and small lens on the top of the bulb (front facing).
