Cruise control on a 2000 Boxster

Hopefully someone can answer/resolve my problem. Have cruise control (currently doesn't engage) and when I turn it on, the light comes on. Unfortunately when I try to set the cruise (at any speed) nothing happens. Is the module shot? Any suggestions?

Check to make sure all your brake light bulbs work. I don't know why but they can mess up the cruise control. If they work the next place to check it the clutch pedal switch.

I have the same problem. The fix on mine is to replace the Brake light switch. I am ordering one shortly.
