Cracked Fabspeed Exhaust Header

I have had my Fabspeed exhaust for about 4 years and have been very pleased with it.

However about a week ago after a particularly hard track session, I came off the track with a strange exhaust sound and found this crack where the collector comes into the combined tube section.

I am planning to have it TIG welded for a repair, but I am a bit concerned as I have had race car headers repaired from overheating in the past, and they never held for long. It seems that once the metal temperature gets too hot, the metallurgy is compromised.

Anyone else have a similar experience and repair success?

Thanks for any info.
