How far can the engine be lowered without disconnecting a lot?

Time has run away and I have to change the cam chain pads before friday. I'm planning to lower the drivetrain as far as it will go without having to drain fluids and disconnect a whole bunch of things.

How far will I be able to lower it without having to disconnect so many things I might as well lowere it completely?

It can be done with the engine in the car, I underestimated how long it would take, but I did it once. Just make sure you do one side at a time and set it overlap before removing the cams.

Thanks. I dropped the engine, transmission and rear suspension in one go to do it. My main concern with doing it in the car is keaping dirt out of the engine. The space is so tight.

Can you pictures and do a quick explanation once you're done?
And tell us how long it took

Good luck!
