Vdo oil temp guage accuracy

I installed a vdo oil temp and pressure gauge. Used a proper vdo temp sender.

It's normal operating temp is about 130 degrees C.....266 Fahrenheit. This with ambient temp 15 to 20 degrees C....on the vdo.

Track day yesterday and it was up to 160deg c....320 F.....hot!

We plugged in durametric and when the vdo read 140 or so the dme oil temp from durametric was 105 C.....220F.

Which would you believe?!
Vdo oil temp sender is in cylinder head in my passenger side......your drivers side.
