Question Roof Light on dashboard

Hi All, I have a bit of an issue with my 97 Boxster and the Roof light on the dashboard? Any assistance would be greatly apprecaited.
The roof works perfectly fine, it opens and closes with no issue.
Although the little round "roof light" on my dash always remains on.
(if the roof is open or closed)

Also - when I Open the roof or drop the top - my power windows stop working.
Ie. as if the roof was in the process of opening or closing.
I have to turn the car on and off and or play with the emergency brake
to make the windows work again.

I am thinking there could be a faulty switch of some sort, somewhere???

Any assistance would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks,
Frank!

Make sure you are holding down the button long enough for it to go off... I know on mine I have to hold it for an extra second or two after it seems to be closed until the light goes off. Other than that it sounds like it could be a faulty sensor. As for the windows... that's a problem i'm not sure of.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.
