ignition sticking when started

I have a 97 986 which was delivered yesterday and when you start the car the ignition does not want to snap back in the ON position. When this happens the lights, heat ,radar will not operate, all I have to do is turn the key about 2mm toward the off position and everything works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? it is like it needs to be lubricated.
Thanks,
Regards,
Automon

Bad ignition switch - common problem on older cars. Been replaced twice on my 1997, once due to the recall for just a few 1997s. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=493&st=0&#entry1955
